Free manga & comic EPUB editor
Most EPUB editors are built for text: chapters, styles and metadata. Manga and comics are different. They're fixed-layout books where every page is an image, and what matters is page order and how pages pair up in two-page spreads. EPUB Editor is built for exactly that.
What you can do
- See the whole volume at a glance, with page thumbnails grouped into the spreads a tablet will show.
- Reorder pages by dragging them or with [ and ].
- Delete pages you don't want, such as scan credits or duplicates.
- Insert blank pages to put two-page art back together. See how to add a blank page.
- Preview spreads in a tablet-shaped preview that follows the book's reading direction.
- Fix odd-sized pages: landscape pages that Apple Books would crop are fitted onto a normal page when you save.
- Rename the file and the title shown in your reading app.
- Read the volume in the built-in reader, with page turns by swipe, tap, click or arrow keys.
Right-to-left reading, done right
Japanese manga is read right to left. EPUB Editor reads the book's page direction and lays out pairs, the preview and the reader the way the book will be read. In a manga the first page of each pair sits on the right, and the left arrow moves forward. By default → is always the next page; if you'd rather have the arrow keys follow the book, so that ← moves forward in manga, switch Arrow keys to Follow the book in Settings.
Great with converted volumes
If you build EPUBs from chapters with tools like Kindle Comic Converter (KCC) or Calibre, spreads often end up one page off: a credits page here, a split double-page there. Open the result in EPUB Editor, fix the pairing visually and save a corrected copy. Images are copied byte for byte, so there's no quality loss.
Only DRM-free books. EPUB Editor can't open copy-protected EPUBs bought from stores that use DRM.
Private and free
Volumes can be hundreds of megabytes, so uploading them to a website would be slow, and you may not want your library on someone else's server anyway. EPUB Editor processes everything on your device and keeps your books in your browser's storage. Saving a 250 MB volume takes about two seconds.
In short
Can I edit manga EPUBs online for free?
Yes. EPUB Editor runs in your browser at no cost: reorder, delete and insert pages, and preview right-to-left spreads, without uploading the book.
Does it support right-to-left manga?
Yes. Pairs, the tablet preview and the reader follow the book's reading direction.
